I tell anyone who will listen; this is the best driving trip in America. We went from Sioux Falls to Rapid City with the cruise control set at 95 mph and the radar detector didn't go off once in nearly 350 miles. We never saw single state trooper. South Dakota is a beautiful place and a wonderful state to visit.If you do this trip, be sure to hit Skyline Rd. in Rapid City at sunset or sunrise. It runs up to the delightfully tacky dinosaur park and it features some spectacular vistas..
