go ahead keep living vicariously though your sports teams. keep saying things like "oh congrats phil YOUR yankees won" with some look of pride on your face like you actually contributed. fact is, the actual players have LESS loyalty to your god damn city than you do. they'll go where the money is and probably didn't come from your city in the first place. and then there's the yankees...buying up and trading for the best players..and fans have the balls to have some kind of pride in that *****. how pathetic....

I'm writing this on a Macbook running Tiger. To get to Snow Leopard (also two OS apart), I first need to buy the full version for $169 (although I do get iLife 09, whether I want it or not.) Then I need to do a clean install, no upgrade available. While I can spend $29 for the "upgrade" and still do a complete install, I would be breaking the EULA...I'm at least lucky that I can upgrade. My buddy with his three year old G5 tower is stuck with Leopard unless he buys a new machine.

Here's another interesting fact.If the census only included US citizens, the average national life expectancy (excluding non-Americans) would go up by 1 year. A lot of indicators that gauge the US get tainted by the millions of illegal immigrants who come from our bordering 3rd world country, making us look like one.

How about:Because there are still millions of rural customers that can't get (or don't want / need) cable service, tv or otherwise? Big Cable is happy to say that over 50% of Americans *can* have access to cable, but that still leaves the remaining under 50% that can't, as well as all the customers that don't see a need for it, since their POTS works just fine. (NOt that even know it's referred to as POTS - it's just "the phone" to them.)
