You can't knock him, he's taken the company from the realms of a few graphic designers and musicians to a major player in the field... No other computer company has come remotely close to biting the Microsoft pie in the last ten years. Hats off really.
And this is the kind of crap we have foisted on us in the new word of Digg's 'integrated' ads disguised as stories. It would be nice if we could post these comments directly with the ads pushing the content.

“I have a off topic question for those who believe in man made climate change. I am going to use Al Gore as my bases for this question. With the technology available today, hd images, instant video communication with any where in the world, why are speakers like Al flying (and in his case in his protected private jet ex VP and all) around the world to make presentations on the negative impact we are having on the world because of our oil consuming ways? If the problem is that serious why not use tele-presence (video and sound on both sides so he can interact with the audience)? Who would argue with him or other speakers putting their money where their mouth is? Or is climate change just a way for people to exploit us, control us, and profit off us? Lets find an inexpensive and clean alternative to oil but not under the guise of an emergency, lets do it for the right reasons to make a better life for ourselves, cheaper energy, more jobs, less smog in cities.

@govsucks -- sure, the CDC does have a program to distribute SOME vaccine. But that's just a portion bought from companies like Monsanto at the price the company wants and in the amount they want to give.If Monsanto/McKesson/whoever want's to make friends -- it's going to reserve some for that group. "government" distribution, is only from that which the Government is allowed to get, and based upon how much money and largess that Monsanto and other pharma companies wish to bestow.The Government buys SOME of the Vaccine, and distributes that. It does NOT allocate where most of the vaccine goes unless the President chooses to get involved. At any time, he could declare an emergency and just tell them what to do.?

I suspect that this may have implications for the company as a whole.I wouldn't expect anything good to come from Comcast & AT&T, nor from the rights-peddlers. Companies are bound by law to represent shareholder interests above all else. In the current mindset, that means short-term profit must trump long-term good, unless you can come up with some damn good reasons to convince your board that the two are functionally equivalent.We need corporate reform on a global level, to make long-term good something that corporations can actually work towards rather than against, and we need political reform that stifles both corporate influence on politics and overbroad government powers, so governments have no incentive to get involved in these kinds of shenanigans in the first place. |

xbox360 and the ps3 are both "technologically superior" to Wii. Why does the wii sells more than both together?Nintendo did a genius thing here. while the competition was busy trying to get the most technologically advanced graphics chip and cpu, they simply pointed their cannon at the user interface and completely changed it. And to top it off they grouped it with wii sports, which was the perfect way to demo their new control scheme. The whole package was the game changer.Even if you're not impressed by the end result, you have to at least admire that Nintendo had the balls to completely rely on the controllers (as the wii is very similar to GC in all the rest of the specs) to go against MS and Sony and their "next generation" consoles.

Google has gotten really picky about matching terrain. I had an otherwise very good model of a local arena rejected because I couldn't get the texture on my detailed terrain, which is required to set the model on the ground correctly in hilly areas, to align perfectly with the Google Earth texture. The parking lot lines didn't match up for instance. Stick to building models in flat regions only.
